Last summer, I spent my vacation at my grandparents' house in the country. They live on a big farm, and they have lots of animals, fruittrees and fresh vegetables. It's really beautiful and peaceful. When I was there, the apples were in season, so we went apple picking. The neighbors even came over and helped us pick the apples. We all had a lot fun. At the end of the day, my grandmother cooked a big meal. After dinner, we all sat on the front porch and talked for hours. I thought I'd be bored at my grandparents' house, but I wasn't. It was really fun By the end of the week though, I started missing my friends and the city. Even though I had fun, I prefer to live in the city, even if it is noisy and dirty. The country is OK for a visit, but it's too quiet for me! |
