Don't let your accent

Nouns are words that are used for people, animals, places, things, or ideas. Compound nouns are also used to talk about people, animals, places, things, or ideas, but these are words that are made up of two or more words. Some compound nouns are made with nouns that have been modified by adjectives, others are made by combining two nouns.

In this exercise you are asked to form compound nouns by draging the words in the right column to the left column. When you believe you have matched the correct pairs, click the 'Check' button to get your results. Be sure and try Compound Nouns 2 and    Compound Nouns 3.
