Born on January 15, 1929, Martin Luther King Jr. was an American Baptist minister and activist who became the most visible spokesperson and leader in the Civil Rights Movement. He was the leader of civil rights movement in America using the tactics of nonviolence and civil disobedience based on his Christian beliefs.
